According to the evidence shared by the D.A., the defendant, who was 22 at the time, approached the 17-year-old at a party on Elderts Lane in East New York around 10:55 p.m. on October 2022. The man proceeded to hit on the teenager, however, she turned him down, allegedly telling him, “suck my d**k,” as he tried to make advances. The rejection enraged the man so much that he pulled out a loaded pistol, pointed it at the victim, pulled the trigger, shot her in the chest, and fled the scene, leaving her to bleed out.

Cameron’s mother, Cassandra Adams, requested no mercy for her daughter’s killer, describing the loss as devastating. She expressed the profound pain she feels and the irreplaceable void left by her daughter’s absence. Adams highlighted the impact on her family and the lifelong suffering caused by the senseless crime. “Since this senseless crime, I have been broken beyond words. Not even a guilty verdict can heal the pain that I will endure for the rest of my life. I never dreamed of being rich as I was already rich with having my children.”

Adams continued to explain how her “beautiful, smart, intelligent, dancing diva” of a daughter will never be able to grow up to become “the phenomenal woman I raised her to be.” She further advised the judge and jury, “
