Hon .Johnson Asiedu Nketia General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress has disclosed that 2024 elections will be uneasy for the party to win because the Electoral Commission is dealing unfairly.
According to him, the NDC has a higher chance of winning the next election per the choice of Ghanaians yet the electoral commission under government manipulation is trying to change that.
He said that, the electoral commission’s directive to recognise the Ghana card as the only valid document to be used for voting is a way to take many eligible Ghanaian voters out of the voting system.
He added that, what the electoral commission is doing is against the law yet has been accepted by the government to try and get their motive to prevail but the decision of Ghanaians will rather win.
He also revealed that, the brouhaha that his aspiration for the chairmanship position of the NDC will break the party’s front and also have negative effect on the next general election is untrue.
He related that, whether his move breaks the party’s front or not, it will rather increase the chances of the party in the next election per analysis on past and current ones.
He advised that, one who is in politics should see achievements attained as one made from collective effort and also strive to put the interests of the party at heart instead of pursuing self-interest so that, the agenda of the party would be successful.
