Madam Josephine A . Dansowaah, midwife , has urge pregnant women to avoid the intake of alcohol and other self-medicated drugs.
The Founder and CEO of Ama Dansowaa Maternity Clinic at Dadieso in the Suaman District of Western North Region Madam Josephine Ama Dansowaah, who has more than 20 years’ experience as a midwife has made known to pregnant women to desist from self medication and should contact their midwives for any directives and proper medication.
She emphasized that, while some activities had been changed due to the climate change, especially food items with chemicals, she therefore urged pregnant women to be medically checked.
She stated; “We’ve had to make some changes in line with conviction to midwifery guidance”.
She added that antenatal care is still being provided, therefore advising pregnant women to avoid the intake of alcohol, inhaling of smokes and enema.
