The Tain/ Banda district in the Bono Region education service and the welfare association celebrated 28 teachers retirees within the districts in honour of their services as teachers.
There is a saying that, “Onipa y3 ade a os3 ayeyi” Teaching is a profession that any other profession can’t succeed without but it seems the government does not value their profession at all.
Teachers are universal parents loving heart, God-fearing, passionate, etc, so teachers need to be honoured massively.
Therefore, the motive behind what the welfare association in collaboration with the Education services in the Tain/Banda district to do a presentation of Gh¢1000 each and a citation .
Mr Richard Akorsah Addo , the education director for Tain said, the program was a marvelous one and thanks the retirees for their efforts.
He advised that teachers should continue with their good work and even if they are not rewarded on earth their rewards is in heaven.
Again he pleaded that NGOs Android philanthropist should support them because, the number is increasing every year.
The Tain/Banda welfare association chairman Mr Joseph Kwadwo Boateng said at first they were doing it for education directors only but they came to realized teachers play a very big rule in education so the need to celebrate them and this the 4th one.
He further pleaded that, as they are going home as retired teachers although their body is weak but as for the mind is working actively. So he asked for their directions and support to betterment education in the country.
Mr Joseph Yaw Mensah on behalf of the retirees was so speechless after receiving the items, expressed an excitement gratitude and thanks that my the God almighty continue to bless the association for valuing the work they did in the districts and the country.
