The frequent open defecation at Ananekrom M/A Basic School in the Asante Akyem North Municipal has today forced the headmaster, teachers and the entire students’ body (from KG to JHS) to demonstrate against unscrupulous acts whereas boycotting classes.
The school has so far recorded 67 cases of shit bombings which sometimes ebb teaching and learning.
Traditional leaders in the area some time ago called on the “gods” to deal with behind such acts after pouring libation in the school but, no one was caught.
MCE for Asante Akyim North, Hon. Francis Oti Boateng who once visited the school promised to repair the broken windows in order to put a stop to that, but nothing has been done yet.
The pupils therefore appealed to the authorities to as a matter of urgency help fix the broken windows and to find a lasting solution to such acts. Some spoke to us.
Mr. Tomaabo Abraham, circuit supervisor for Ananekrom zonal said on behalf of the education directorate that, measures are being put in place to curb the acts.
Meanwhile, the NPP chairman for Asante Akyem North, Dr. Edward Asadu has placed a GHS 1000 bounty for anyone who helps to bring any perpetrators.
