PSG are set to leave the Parc des Princes for the first time in their history after a row with the Paris mayor. The French side have played their home games at the stadium since their formation in 1970, and are said to have invested over £75million in its facilities in the last few years. Major Anne Hidalgo, however, has said the city are unwilling to sell the stadium to the club, resulting in a falling out and PSG’s apparent upcoming exit.

The Ligue 1 champions were said to have been willing to invest another £440million to improve the stadium further, but Hidalgo has closed a potential deal after negotiations over a potential deal.

Via ESPN, Hidalgo told Le Parisien newspaper: ‘We have a very clear position. The Parc des Princes is not for sale, and it will not be sold. This is a firm and definitive position. It is an exceptional heritage for Parisians.’
