The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will hold its presidential and parliamentary primaries on Saturday, May 13, 2023 to elect their Parliamentary candidates and flag bearer for the party to contest the 2024 general election.
This was announced by the Communications Officer of NDC, Sammy Gyamfi in a press conference at the party’s headquarters in Accra.
According to Sammy Gyamfi, filling of nominations will take place between Wednesday, February 22 to Friday, February 24.
He added that, the submission and filing of forms would also take place from Monday, March 20, 2023, to Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
He confirmed that, a filing fee of GH¢500,000 has been proposed with a nomination fee of GH¢30,000 for the presidential aspirants.
Prior to the above release by the party , some Concern Youth Activists of the Bawku Central Constituency , led by Roger Ayariga has mass up to file for the incumbent MP, Hon. Mahama Ayariga if doesn’t go unopposed.
The Concern Youth within the Bawku Central Municipality thinks such a workaholic and dedicated person who has done a lot for the constituency, doesn’t need any competitor so therefore needs to go unopposed.
In an interview with Roger Ayariga by DKMNEWS.NET, they pledged to contribute by paying the filling fees of Hon. Mahama Ayariga if he will not be allowed to go unopposed.
“I felt if Hon. Mahama Ayariga doesn’t go unopposed is a big disappointment for us because such a noble and hard working person in his caliber does not need to compete with anyone” Roger Ayariga told DKMNEWS.NET.
“So there we the Concern Youth of Bawku Central Constituency will never rest until our ambitions and wishes come to pass” Concern Youth urges.
