The Tuobodom District Court in the Bono East Region presided over by His Lordship Justice Frimpong Manso has ordered 11 landlords whose houses are built in water ways at Twimia in Techiman to relocate from their houses within a period of 2 months.
This follows a suit filed by the Techiman Municipal NADMO at the court to seeking for demolishing of some houses that are built in flood prone areas to curb any future disaster.
Mr. Eric Asiedu, Techiman Municipal NADMO Director spoke to the Media after the court ruling, stating residents should be very careful on where to put up a building to protect themselves from any natural disaster.
He added that, the measures by NADMO is not an attempt to destroy properties but to help curb future disaster in order to help protect lives and properties within the Municipality.
Mr. Eric Asiedu finally appealed to Nananom in Techiman to also support NADMO in the fight against flood in Techiman.
