The Municipal Chief Executive for Yilo Krobo Hon Eric Tetteh organized an emergency meeting with key stakeholders including the board chair of the governing council, COP F.E Doku (of the Ghana Police Service) to consider some immediate measure to address the accommodation problem confronting the school in the interim before thinking about long term solution.
The MCE therefore made a commitment that the Yilo Krobo Municipal Assembly would provide netting and electricity connection to the partially completed boys’ dormitory for use by the boys.
The MCE further tasked Yilo Krobo Municipal Assembly Engineer, Mr. P.T Obuor to design a BOX ROOM on an earmark site to be used by the girls to address that challenge, have space in their main dormitory and the MCE urged the Engineer to ensure that works commence as early as next week.
The Stakeholders however urged all sons and daughters of the Krobo land by way of appeal to come to the aid of the school to find a long term solution to the accommodation problem of the school.
Meanwhile students have started reporting in the school as directed by Ghana Education Service and Ministry of Education.
