FARMERS EDUCATE ON HOW TO PRODUCE MORE COCOA BEANS BY PRUNING – DKMNEWS.NET

The Deputy Director of Cocoa health and extension division–CHED(COCOBOD), Dr. Kwame Owusu Ansah has given an advice to Ghana Cocoa farmers to engage in pruning practice. This will help to produce in larger quantity of beans .

Speaking at the Cocoa Farmers program held at Kyekyebiase in the Asante Akim Central of the Ashanti Region. The activity was educate farmers how to manage their Cocoa well to produce more.

The theme was reposition your Cocoa farm from maximum yield and above.

Dr. Ansah added , Cocoa support over 70% day to day activities in Ghana. It has come to our notice, some Cocoa farmers export their Cocoa beans to other countries which is very bad. Let be a Patriotic citizen for development of our country.

Also the Ashanti Regional deputy CHED COCOBOD manager,Mr. Pumpuni added, it by time Ghanaians the youth should engage themselves into farming . He elaborate the theme of the program.

Finally,the deam of MCE’S in Ashanti Region, Hon. Alexander Frimpong, municipal chief executive for Asante Akim South also show their commitment in farming.
