Hundreds of illegal miners trapped in a shaft belonging to AngloGold Obuasi mines

Several illegal miners have been trapped in one of the shafts of Anglogold Obuasi Mines at Anwiam in the Ashanti Region

Hundreds of illegal miners were reported to have been trapped in a shaft belonging to the AngloGold’s Obuasi mines. At Anwiam in the Obuasi East district of the Ashanti Region.

The miners in search of gold deposits are said to be trapped underneath the earth in a pit unable to exit and are calling for aid to be rescued.

It was reported that some of these miners are unconscious underground while the conscious ones said they called for an aid.

In a report in Tv3 news show a recount by a woman concerning the current incident at hand.
