40-Year-Old Mother of Six Fatally Shot in Her Room at Sabronum-Bokruwaa

Crime – shooting – Sabronum-Bokruwaa – A 40-year-old mother of six has been shot and killed by an unknown assailant in her room at Bokruwaa, a farming community near Sabronum in the Ahafo Ano South East District of the Ashanti Region.

The tragic incident, which occurred at dawn on Thursday, August 7, 2025, has left residents in shock and mourning.

Speaking to Otec News, the deceased’s brother, Emmanuel Kyei, said his sister was found lying in a pool of blood on her bed, with a gunshot wound to her head.

“She usually wakes up early, but that morning she was still in bed by 6am. Her children went in to check on her and found her lifeless body,” he said.

He added that her phone was found on the pillow beside her and nothing appeared to have been stolen from the room.

The woman was reportedly alone at the time of the incident, as her husband had traveled.

As of the time of filing this report, the body had not yet been conveyed to the mortuary, and the family had reported the matter to the Sabronum Police for investigation.
