The Minority in Parliament has announced that they will initiate the process to impeach President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. They believe that the President has violated the law by refusing to assent to the anti-gay bill.

“In the coming days, don’t be surprised we will begin the impeachment process against the president,” the Minority Leader Dr Cassiel Ato Forson said at a press conference in Accra on Wednesday, March 20.

The Minority in Parliament is determined to uphold the sanctity of the Ghanaian constitution. They have expressed their support for the speaker’s decision to postpone the consideration of President Akufo-Addo’s ministerial nominees until after the Supreme Court has ruled on the two cases related to the anti-gay bill.

The Minority in Parliament wants to make it clear to President Akufo-Addo and his government that they are concerned about the direction the country is heading in. They believe that things are becoming unfamiliar under his leadership, and the NDC Minority is not willing to tolerate it.
