A rapper and his producer sued Cardi B for copyright infringement, claiming she used their song “Greasy Frybread” without permission.

Cardi B released “Enough (Miami)” in March, which is expected to be on her upcoming album. The plaintiffs accused Cardi B and her producers of using their song without permission, naming producers OG Parker and DJ SwanQo as co-defendants in the lawsuit.

Cardi B got sued after she said she wouldn’t support the Republican party and got accused of betraying her country. This likely came from her statement about not voting for President Joe Biden in the 2024 election. She expressed her feelings to Rolling Stone, saying, “I don’t f### with both of y’all n#####.” Initially, Cardi B endorsed Biden in the 2020 election but later expressed dissatisfaction with his presidency.

Cardi B expressed feeling like people had been betrayed, mentioning the lack of care and solutions, especially with the significant spending involved. Her comments were even discussed on CNN by political analyst Bakari Sellers, who highlighted how voter apathy could impact the upcoming 2024 election.

The Grammy-winning rapper had no plans to vote for Trump, who faced 34 counts of falsifying business records. Trump’s sentencing, initially set for July, got postponed to September.
