Jimmy Kimmel Mocks Trump as ‘Doodler in Chief’ While Roasting Him Over Epstein Files
Jimmy Kimmel – Donald Trump – Doodler in Chief – Epstein Files – Jimmy Kimmel called out President Donald Trump amid questions about his relationship to the late Jeffrey Epstein and the ongoing government shutdown.
During the Tuesday, Oct. 7 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the 57-year-old late-night host addressed some of the politician’s latest comments in his monologue, while also tackling questions about the authenticity of a birthday note that the president, 79, allegedly wrote to Epstein in 2003.
“It’s every day he says something that would rank right at the top of the most ridiculous things any president has ever said,” Kimmel said, at one point calling Trump the “dumbest member of a crime family.”
Regarding the government shutdown, which commenced on Oct. 1, Kimmel referenced issues with staffing air traffic control towers. Though deemed essential workers, the air traffic controllers are not being paid and are not all showing up for work, which is causing delays at airports such as Hollywood Burbank Airport.
“Soon, when we fly, we will soon have the same number of air traffic controllers the Wright brothers had. Trump really is making America great again,” he joked before shifting his focus to comments Trump made about not paying government employees who were furloughed by the shutdown.
While hosting Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in the White House on Tuesday, Trump seemingly implied that he would not follow the law, which mandates that all furloughed employees must receive back pay.
“I would say it depends on who we’re talking about. I can tell you this: The Democrats have put a lot of people in great risk and jeopardy, but it really depends on who you’re talking about. But for the most part, we’re going to take care of our people. There are some people that really don’t deserve to be taken care of, and we’ll take care of them in a different way,” the president said, prompting Kimmel to ask, “Why does he always sound like the dumbest member of a crime family?”

During his conversation with Carney, Trump also painted a picture of the United States as he imagined it under the leadership of his competitor in the 2024 election — former Vice President Kamala Harris.
“If we didn’t win this election, if we had these people that were running… that were ruining our country, destroying our country with their open borders and men playing in women’s sports and transgender for everybody and windmills all over the place…,” he said, prompting commentary from Kimmel.
“I’m sorry, I’m not sure I heard that correctly. What was the last item? Windmills all over the place? There would be windmills all over the place. They could have turned the whole country into a little Dutch village,” the host joked about Trump’s comment, hypothesizing, “I mean, he must have gotten his hair tangled in a windmill at a mini golf course or something.”

Turning his focus to Attorney General Pam Bondi‘s Tuesday appearance in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Kimmel highlighted her response to questions about Epstein and the heavily demanded files from a criminal investigation. The files are currently classified.
“There were a lot of questions about the Epstein files. There were no answers about the Epstein files. Bondi answered none of them. You know, the author Michael Wolff, who has interviewed Trump repeatedly, says he’s seen about a dozen photographs of Trump and Jeffrey Epstein with topless women. Trump’s BF Jeff kept them in his safe and showed them to this guy,” Kimmel said before showing clips of Bondi seemingly avoiding questions about the alleged pictures.
His response to her dodging the topic: “Did you eat the Polaroids yourself, attorney general?”
Regarding ongoing calls for the release of the files, Kimmel said, “One thing we know for sure is that Donald Trump doesn’t want us to see these files, which to me is all you need to know.”
He continued, explaining, “I mean, you walk in on your teenager, he suddenly pulls up the covers and slams his laptop shut. I think you have a pretty good idea of why; you don’t need to look at his browser history. But for whatever reason, we are still waiting for those files.”
Kimmel turned his focus to the birthday note that Trump allegedly wrote to Epstein in 2003, which was released by the House Oversight Committee in September. The president has denied the veracity of the letter, which was mentioned by The Wall Street Journal in July.

Referring to Trump as “our Doodler in Chief,” Kimmel played a clip of the president saying that the letter was written in a way that is different from how he speaks.
“It’s an interesting statement. ‘It’s not the way I speak. And anybody that’s covered me for a long time knows that’s not my language.’ Now, we’ve been covering Donald Trump for what feels like a very, very long time. And in the interest of fairness, we decided to do a bit of research to see if maybe he’s right. Does he use the words and phrases that are used in that letter? That’s not for me to say; it’s for you to decide for yourself,” Kimmel announced before playing a compilation of clips that showed Trump repeating many of the words and phrases mentioned in the letter.
After the clip aired, Kimmel sarcastically said, “Well, I stand corrected: It definitely wasn’t written by him.”
