WN/R: DANGER LOOMS AS GALAMSEY ACTIVITIES IS EXTENDED TO HOUSES – RESIDENTS ACCUSE NATIONAL SECURITY COORDINATOR

Serious Danger is said to be looming in a community called Elubo in the Sefwi Juaboso district of the Western North Region as Galamsey activities have been extended in various houses.

Illegal mining operators now dig and Wash in the Elubo community where over 200 buildings have turned into death traps which needs immediate attention before tragedy occures.

Some residents have accused and pointed fingers on the Western North Regional National Security Coordinator called Kwame Kintor Boateng as being the brain behind the the higher rate of illegal mining activities in the area including Elubo.

Mr. Kwame Kintor instead of supporting the president Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo’s decision to clamp down Galamsey activities, he’s rather motivating people to destroy lands and Water bodies which is contrary to the vision of president Akuffo Addo.

It’s alleged that, the Laison officer Kwame Kintor Boateng has further been accused of extorting huge amount of monies from illegal miners promising to give them protection to do their Galamsey business activities.

The concerned Residents of Western North Region is by this press release appealing to minister of National Security Kan Dapaa and the president of Ghana His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo to sack Kwame Kintor Boateng immediately to save the reputation of Npp in the Region and serve as deterrent for others .

Moreover, the Concerned Residents is calling on Sefwi Juaboso DCE Hon Godfred Kwabena Adjei and Regional minister Hon. Richard Jojo Rocky Obeng to immediately intervene and stopped the perpetrators of Elubo community Galamsey activities.
