Last Saturday at midnight in Juapong, North Tongu District of the Volta Region, a tragic accident occurred. A Hyundai vehicle collided with a heavily laden cargo car carrying firewood. The collision resulted in the immediate death of the two male occupants in the front of the vehicle. Sherri Shalom, a young female soldier, initially survived the crash but was found unconscious. She was quickly taken to Akosombo Hospital for urgent medical attention. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, she passed away a day later due to her injuries.
The incident has deeply saddened the community, emphasizing the serious consequences of road accidents and the profound impact they can have on families and communities. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation to understand the circumstances leading to the accident, with the goal of preventing similar tragedies from occurring in the future.
