Some Members of Parliament (MPs) are advocating for Hepatitis B to be added to the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) catalogue list of treatment.
The MPs say the cost in treating the disease is high and many patients find it difficult to access treatment.
The call was spearheaded by the Deputy Majority Leader, Mr Alexander Afenyo-Markin.
The MPs also called for more awareness creation on the disease.
