The Chief of Akyem Akanteng in the Lower west Akyem municipality of the Eastern Region Barima Appiah Darkwa iii have complained bitterly about the bad nature of their roads.
Akanteng is a mining and farming community which produce largely to the Ghanaian market. Over thousands of inhabitants who reside there mainly depend on perty trading for a living.
Over decades, their roads have been in bad shapes which is hampering to and fro and also have negative impart on their businesses.
Speaking to some of the residents in an interview with DKMNEWS.NET, they reiterated that, the community becomes muddy anytime it rains and dusty when it’s harmattan which makes movement very uncomfortable.
According to the Chief, the constructor who is working on the road have not turned to site over years due to inadequate funds from the government. These have been an impediment to the progress of the road construction.
Barima Appiah Darkwa iii in his remarks reiterated and appealed to the government and the ministry of roads and highway to turn to them immediately.
