The 1st vice chairman of the ruling New patriotic party (NPP) in the Atwima Nwabiagya South constituency in the Ashanti Region, Mr. John Kwame Duodu popularly known in the political circles as Sir John described the confirmation of the six newly appointed ministers as democratic judging from the serene manner both majority and minority members of Parliament collectively collaborated to confirm the new appointees on Friday March 24,2023

Sir John speaking in an interview commended Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson, the minority leader of parliament, and the entire opposition members of parliament for peacefully collaborating with their NPP counterparts in ensuring the smooth confirmation of the six ministerial appointees to promote progress and continuity of work by the Akufo Addo led NPP government

He added that, the global economic crisis has caused great mess to the country’s economy thus extreme entrenched partisan politics amongst the Lawmakers should not be entertained at all because of its negative consequences to the resurrection of the country’s economy, stressing that Ghana existed before politics hence politicians must be wary of how they handle issues of national development and must at all times support the right direction that facilitates growth and development as shown by this current government

Mr. John Kwame Duodu also extended massive gratitude to the Majority leader of Parliament Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu and the entire NPP Lawmakers as well as the National Executives led by the General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua (JFK) for his presence at the public gallery of parliament on the day of voting and the tireless efforts put in making sure the President’s appointees are democratically confirmed. Their confirmation by Majority members is a clear attestation of Ghanaians acceptance of the good works of the Nana Addo led administration which will manifest greatly in the record breaking 2024 general elections.

He again commend the media for the professionalism and objectivity exhibited before, during and after the elections and appeal to them to continue to uphold the ethics of the profession just as we charge them to educate and sensitize innocent and peace loving Ghanaians on the tenets of democracy which is being daily debased, abused and assaulted by some anti democratic elements in NDC just to confuse and incite the people for their selfish means”,he proclaimed.

He finally charged the newly approved ministers to work hard to ensure the President’s vision of making Ghana the hub of economic growth and prosperity in West Africa.
