“Breaking news: Fat Joe be dropping a[n] album in August, too, so put me in that list of pioneers and legends and icons,” he shared.
The 53-year-old MC dropped his last album in 2021 and mentioned the following year that he didn’t have plans for new music anytime soon. Apart from music, Joey Crack and E-40 showed up at a Joe Biden rally in North Carolina. Following the 81-year-old Democrat’s debate with Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, the two rappers performed at a campaign event for him.
The official from the veteran politician’s team praised 40 and Joe as music industry legends who understand the importance of using their platforms to educate their fans about the election. Earlier this year, the New York City native and Kamala Harris discussed the legal implications of marijuana possession. In mid-March, the rapper moderated a private meeting with the vice president, Kentucky governor Andy Beshear, and individuals who have been pardoned for previous cannabis-related convictions.
“This issue is stark when one considers the fact that on the schedule currently marijuana is considered as dangerous as heroin,” Harris said during the public-facing part of the event. “Marijuana is considered as dangerous as heroin and more dangerous than fentanyl, which is absurd. Not to mention patently unfair.”
About the discussion, the Bronx icon told the press: “When the vice president calls me, I stop everything.”
