Gabourey Sidibe Says “Wilma Was Working” After Missing Halloween with Husband and Twins Dressed as The Flintstones

The actress, 42, shared a glimpse of her family’s holiday festivities on Instagram on Saturday, Nov. 1, revealing that her husband, Brandon Frankel, and their 18-month-old twins, Cooper and Maya, dressed as characters from The Flintstones.

Frankel went as patriarch Fred Flintstone, while Maya dressed as Pebbles Flintstone and Cooper as Bamm-Bamm Rubble.

As for why Sidibe didn’t appear in the family Halloween photos, she jokingly explained her absence in the caption: “Halloween is so much fun with Fred, Pebbles and Bam Bam. Wilma was working🥹.”

Wilma is the wife of Fred Flintstone.

Sidibe and Frankel welcomed the twins in April 2024. This year marked the toddlers’ second time celebrating Halloween.

Last year, the twins had their very first trick-or-treating outing. They wore coordinating Cookie Monster and Elmo onesies and carried tiny jack-o’-lantern bags for the occasion. In a post on Instagram at the time, their actress mom shared an adorable video of the brother-sister duo taking part in the Halloween fun.

“It was Elmo and Cookie Monsters 1st ever Halloween and they were confused at first but eventually were there for the vibes,” Sidibe wrote in her post. “They even had tiny treat bags! We’re absolutely saving the candy for when they have teeth and not eating it ourselves. TOTALLY! 😉.”

Sidibe’s post included sweet clips of the twins sitting side by side in their stroller, their filled-to-the-brim treat bags and the whole family posing together.

Since welcoming the twins, Sidibe has been candid online about her and Frankel’s parenting journey — from flying with two babies to attending swimming lessons and discovering each of the twins’ unique personalities.

Sidibe and Frankel met on a dating app and got engaged in November 2020. The actress revealed in December 2022 that the couple had gotten married “over a year ago,” about four months after their engagement.
