GHANAIAN WORKERS AT AKROMA GOLD MINES DEMONSTRATES AGAINTS THE APPALLING ABUSEMENT AND THEIR WORKING CONDITIONS OF THE CHINESE EMPLOYERS – DKMNEWS.NET

Ghanaian workers at Akroma Gold Mines has Demonsted against the Chinese employers at “Esase” a surburb of Kwahu West Districts in the Eastern Region, for their human rights abuses and their working conditions of it’s employees.

Followig the recent occurance that happened between a Ghanaian Translater and Chinese who threatened the Ghanaian with a Gun, if not that the Ghanaian run for his Life.

According to a report, the Chinese national is a senior in the Akroma Gold Mines company and when narration the incidence to the media, Charles Boateng, a Ghanaian- Chinese Translater to Akroma Gold Mines, who had misunderstanding with the Chinese national stressed, the Chinese allegedly pounched him and When he tried defending himself, the Chinese national alleged went to his car with a top speed to go for a gun in the heat of the argument if not that he run for his Life.

Meanwhile, Mr. Jerry Kwabena Andoh, _Deputy General Secretary of Ghana Union of Mines under the (TUC)_ who represented the workers from National intervened the Demonstion and calm was restored later but they proceed to the foreigners and the Management to demand a crackdown on the rampant abuses on the workers whiles, secured good working conditions for their members in the company ahead.

On his Part, upon seeking clarification on the issue from management the Akroma Gold Mines company Human Right offier, (HR) Mr. Fredrick Somuah Obeng, in a response explained the incidence.
