The National Democratic Congress in the Bibiani Ahwiaso Bekwai constituency says the gold for oil initiative by the NPP government has seen no impact on the lives of Ghanaians as Prez Akufo Addo claimed in his state of the nation address that the policy has already seen success.
Interacting with DKMNEWS.NET, the constituency secretary of NDC Joseph Ayambila(Watoo) ,said the policy was introduced just to deceive and dupe the citizenry knowing very well that it wouldn’t be successful stressing that by now we should have seen reduction in the prices of transportation fares, petrol, diesel, gas if indeed the said policy is effective.
He added that this NPP government has collapsed Tema oil refinery (TOR) however, he suggested for it revival so that we can refine our oil here in Ghana to end importation of oil.
According to Watoo ‘G4O’ is not the best policy for government rather our withered factories including TOR should be revamped to increase our production for export to hike our foreign income rate.
He asserted that there’s no hope in the NPP government because they are here to mess up things and squander the nation’s money.
