What is confidence?

confidence means having a positive sense of self worth, displaying an outstanding personality to the public.This could also mean feeling at ease in social settings, being unafraid of public speaking, it could also mean realizing who you are and embracing it in a positive way acknowledging your strength a weakness alike.

Overcoming low-self confidence can aid you in the attainment of your goals both professional and personal life. When you learn to love and accept yourself it makes it easier for people to do same in regards to you.

Ways to boost your confidence 

There are several ways to boost your confidence this includes

1. Get out of your comfort zone 

When you step out of your comfort zone more often, the more you will be exposed to opportunities to develop confidence in yourself, so get out of your shell and try out new things and experience new stuff to build up your confidence.

2. Be kind to yourself 

Everyone has a thing or two they  are likely to improve on themselves , but you must make sure to firstly accept yourself just as you are in your present state.

3. Wear clothes that brings out your confidence 

Trust me when I say your choice of clothing also brings out the confidence in you, to bring out your confidence make sure you wear neat and well kept clothes also wear clothes that you’re comfortable in, most often people who  are always in neat and well kept clothes are perceived attractive and like magnetic they attract people to themselves, and this helps in boosting up your confidence change your style of dressing if it isn’t helping much and step into that new level of self confidence.

4. Practice self-assured body Language 

Adopting confident body language like standing up straight with your shoulders and chin up, practice stances like puffing yourself up. Sometimes you have to fake it until it helps you attain the result of building your self confidence.

5. Set a goal for yourself 

Eliminate self doubt and practice daily or weekly task to challenge yourself and improve your confidence.

6. Stand up for yourself 

Rather than looking up to people for support in situations, you must learn how to stand up for yourself in any situation rather than cowering in fear, you should never be scared to voice out your opinion in a situation. When you stand up for yourself people view you as brave and dependable which is an attractive trait therefore the more you stand up for yourself the more people are attracted to you and this will very much help in building up your self confidence.
