The Delta State Police Command in Nigeria has stated that individuals in the country who possess wealth from suspicious sources and cannot provide a legitimate explanation for their income may be subject to investigation and potential court charges. According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, the police have the authority to arrest such individuals and bring them before the court. This initiative aims to promote transparency and accountability in financial matters.
in a post on his social media handle on Sunday said it was a sad trend that people felt it was wrong to question what he called the “suspicious wealth” of Nigerians.
The police spokesman said the country now had cases of kidnapping, ritual killings and internet fraud.
