According to a news report by Asaaseradio, the deputy finance minister and Member of Parliament for Ejisu in the Ashanti Region passed away in Germany on Thursday, March 7. He had been receiving medical treatment there for some time.
Dr. Kumah was a devoted family man. He will be missed by his wife, Apostle Mrs. Lilian Kumah, and his six children. Dr. Kumah also made significant contributions as the inaugural Chief Executive Officer for the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), playing a crucial role in strengthening Ghana’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Following the sad news, Parliament has temporarily halted its proceedings. The official announcement of Mr. John Kumah’s passing has not yet been made to the house.
