Kanye West, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, apologized in Hebrew for his antisemitic comments last year. He expressed regret, committed to learning, and emphasized the importance of unity.

“I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any ‘unintended outburst.’ It was not my intention to hurt or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused,” he wrote in an Instagram post, which has been translated to English. “I am committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future. Your forgiveness is important to me, and I am committed to making amends and promoting unity.”

In response to Ye’s apology, the Anti Defamation League said in a statement: “After causing untold damage by using his vast influence and platform to poison countless minds with vicious antisemitism and hate, an apology in Hebrew may be the first step on a long journey towards making amends to the Jewish community and all those who he has hurt. Ultimately, actions will speak louder than words but this initial act of contrition is welcome.”

Kanye West made antisemitic comments last year, which is really concerning. It’s important to promote love and understanding instead of spreading hate. Let’s hope for positive growth and change. In October 2022, he said on social media that he would go “death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE” while also making allegations that Sean Combs was controlled by Jewish people, a commonly used antisemitic trope. Around the same time, he showed up to Paris Fashion Week in a shirt that read ’White lives matters” Ye also told conspiracy theorist Alex Jones in December 2022 that he liked Adolf Hitler.

Kanye West posted on Instagram, mentioning his financial loss and emphasizing the importance of love and people. He also made controversial comments in recent videos and included a reference to the Jewish community in an upcoming song. Representatives for Kanye have not commented on these matters.
