King Promise in a recent interview with content creator Kwadwo Sheldon talked about the complexities of collaboration within the music industry.”

“Reflecting on a past incident in London, where he was denied a performance opportunity at a Ghanaian artist’s concert, King Promise expressed his frustration, saying, ‘Are we fighting ourselves? I actually came to show you guys love. I can sell out the venue respectively.’

Addressing the broader issue, King Promise remarked, ‘It’s just the mentality of Ghanaians. Like I always say, it is not us against each other, it is us against the world.’ He emphasized the need for mutual support and unity within the industry, stressing that competition should not overshadow collective success.

Despite these challenges, King Promise shared positive experiences collaborating with Nigerian artists such as Wizkid and Omar Lay. Recounting these instances, he stated, ‘I’ve been on several stages where Wizkid and Omar Lay put me on stage whenever we are in the same city.'”
