Madam Patience Padikie Olesu-Adjei, a Campaigner at Eco-Care Ghana one of the implementing partners of the Landscapes and Environmental Agility Across the Nation (LEAN) project in Bono East and Ashanti Regions has expressed optimism that by the end of the program in 2024 most of our lost forests would be reclaimed and livelihoods of Farmers shall be improved as well.
Speaking in an interview in Techiman during a one-day training workshop for selected Media practitioners in the Bono East Region, Madam Patience Olesu-Adjei revealed that the LEAN Project is being implemented in about 60 Communities in 6 Municipalities/Districts and thousands of Farmers are being engaged on proper and modern methods of farming.
She said about 450,000 seedlings have been planted and more would be done until the year 2024 when the project comes to an end to help reclaim our depleted forests in line with Government’s Green Ghana Agenda.
Madam Olesu-Adjei called on Nananom, Municipal/District Assemblies, Media and all other Stakeholders to support the LEAN project to make it very successful in order to avert the looming dangers of Climate change in order to save our environment and also protect human lives.
