Benkumhene of Asaman Tamfoe in Atiwa East Municipality in the Eastern region of has sent a strong warning to Okyenhene taskforce to stay away from his lands.
Nana Boakye Darkwa, the Benkumhene of Asaman Tamfoe and the Chairman of the Community Mining Committee in the area said, some security taskforce led by the alleged brother of the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo have invaded the community doing illegal mining.
Nana disclosed that, a group of illegal Miners stormed the community, shot at people and distabilized the town.
He stated the case has been officially reported to the district police command but no development has been made.
Nana Boakye Darkwa has therefore sent a strong message to the so called taskforce that, the residents of Asaman Tamfoe will not tolerate such attack for the second time.
Nana Boakye Darkwa alleged that, the Chief of Apapamu is behind the illegal move.
He said, the Apapamu Chief has no right to come to Asaman Tamfoe and use their lands.
