On Not Just Football with Cam Heyward, Weezy mentioned his dream collaborations, including artists who have passed away.

Lil Wayne expressed his dream collaborations, mentioning Michael Jackson, Prince, Biggie, and Tupac as his top choices. He also highlighted Lauryn Hill as someone he would love to work with who is still alive.

Wayne surprised everyone by joining Lauryn Hill on stage during her 25th-anniversary tour in Los Angeles last year. Instead of performing his own hits, he freestyled over the Fugees’ “Ready or Not.” The Game was so impressed by Wayne’s performance that he expressed his admiration by saying, “Got chills [hands-up emoji].” It’s incredible to see artists coming together and appreciating each other’s talents in the music industry.

A potential collaboration between Lil Wayne and Lauryn Hill could still be in the works. Lil Wayne has been hinting at a sixth installment of his Tha Carter album series, which he confirmed will be his next full-length release, although a specific release date is yet to be announced. He has also been seen in the studio with Wyclef Jean, suggesting that they may have recorded material together.

Hill hasn’t dropped an album since her 1998 debut The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill but recently hinted at new music. She seemed to confirm her son YG Marley’s statement that “music’s on the way,” giving fans hope for a follow-up album.
