MOST ACCIDENTS NOWADAYS ARE CAUSED BY UNQUALIFIED DRIVING SCHOOLS DRIVERS – GPRTU CHAIRMAN VOICES OUT.

Mr. John Kwasi Ansah, the Accra-Kaneshie to Cape Coast-Takoradi Station Chairman of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) has blamed most accidents on the roads to drivers who are trained by driving schools.

Mr. John Kwasi Ansah has suggested that such drivers must be taken through another form of driving by a commercial drivers to enhance their experience.

Mr. Ansah stated , any driver who was trained by a commercial vehicle driver by two or three years has an advance experience and the veal to work as a driver than those trained in a driving schools.

Statistic by the National Road Safety Authority indicates that about 1,300 persons have been killed through road traffic crashes from January to June this year.

Another, 7,997 persons have sustained various injuries through road accidents within the same period.

Deaths and Injuries, according to the statistics, were as a result of 7,687 crashes which occurred across the country involving 13,248 vehicles.

The Accra-Kaneshie to Cape Coast-Takoradi GPRTU Chairman, Mr . John Kwasi Ansah in an interview with DKMNEWS.NET stressed that, per statistics from the  National Road Safety Authority are mostly accidents caused by unqualified drivers from our various driving driving schools.

He thereby urges road users and drivers especially to be self conscious to able to sometimes save people and lives from such unwanted accidents.
