A man in Oklahoma was arrested after allegedly attempting to steal a pair of Balenciaga shoes. He contacted a woman who was selling the shoes on the Offer Up app. When they met up, he pulled out a gun and threatened her.
According to KOKH, the woman selling the shoes was contacted by someone using the username “Turbo,” who was later identified as 21-year-old Taber Carter. When they met at a T-Mobile location for the transaction, he pulled out a gun and pointed it at her head. It’s a really frightening situation, and I hope the authorities handle it appropriately.
Wow, that’s quite a turn of events! So, after the woman gave him the shoes, she managed to take one of them back by reaching into his car. Smart move! When he realized he couldn’t get the other shoe because she had locked it in her car, he ended up driving away. Later on, the police found him passed out in his car during a welfare check. But when officers approached, he took off and started a pursuit with the police.
During the chase, Carter crashed into a power pole, which caused a power outage. Eventually, the police were able to take him into custody. Carter now faces charges of endangering others while eluding a police officer, as well as robbery or attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon. He is currently being held without bond due to the seriousness of the charges.
