The Awutu Senya East Municipal task force have arrested one person Yaw Desmond for dumping refuse under the Kasoa overpass near Kasoa old.
According to sources, Yaw Desmond after taking money from the market women to dump their rubbish away, he then dump the rubbish under the overpass. After Desmond got arrested he was charged to sweep for 8 hours to serve as deterant to others .
In an exclusive interview with DKMNEWS.NET, Mr Gabriel Agyei Brefa, Senior Public Health Engineer for Awutu Senya East said, whoever will be caught in such act will face instant justice by sweeping or will be send to court if the needs arises.
He stressed that, this forms part of measures putting in place to improve sanitation situations in the Municipality.
He however advised market women to dumped refuse at the allocated place provided by the Assembly in the market and desist from giving it to the getto boys.
