President Akufo-Addo says he is exceedingly glad of his record in office, as his government has chalked up considerable achievements in all sectors of national life in the last seven years.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo expressed pride in his administration’s accomplishments during his time in office, despite facing global challenges. He highlighted the achievements in various sectors of national life.

“In all modesty, I’m exceedingly proud of my record in office and the considerable achievements that have been recorded in all sectors of national life these last seven and a half years,” President Akufo-Addo said.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo highlighted the successes achieved by his administration in managing the economy and various sectors like education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, and security.

President Nana Addo also highlighted the administration’s efforts in fighting corruption, addressing environmental degradation, and responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. He also emphasized the progress made in promoting good governance, the rule of law, and regional and continental integration.

 “The record is there for all to see, and I believe it is one which, in all humility, is at the least the equal of any in the history of the Fourth Republic,” he stated.

President Nana Addo also expressed heartfelt appreciation for the assistance of his predecessors in achieving these outcomes. He called on the new ministers to continue working together to further the nation’s progress.

“I believe, however, that we all understand that different times require different instruments of action. Together, let us help build that dignified, self-reliant, prosperous Ghana that successive generations of Ghanaian patriots and the founders of our free democratic nation sought with their blood, sweat, and toil,” he concluded.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo charged  his newly appointed ministers to justify their inclusion in his government by making  a difference and significantly  contribute  to advancing  the course of his government within  the limited time available.

 “You have joined the government with only seven months to go, but I am confident that there is enough time for you to make a difference and significant contribution.

“ indeed anyone who has something to do can make a point within a short period and I am sure with your various competences, experiences and talents, make this distinctly possible “

He charged the appointees to remain focused and live to the tenets of their oath in the discharge of their duties.

“Your appointment has come at a critical moment in the history of our country and your success in this endeavor would be a consequence of your respect to the oaths you have solemnly sworn to uphold the interest of the republic, defend its constitution and promote the interest of the citizenry”
