The Good Governance Promoters Of Ghana(GGP-GHANA) has taken notice of the Majority MP’s in Parliament call on President Akuffo Addo to sack the Finance Minister,Hon. Ken Ofori Atta over economic hardship and other reasons.

The development is very unfortunate in the history and governance of Ghana and we at GGP- GHANA are demanding proper reason why they called on the President to remove the Finance Minister.

Because we believe the Finance Minister has discharged his duties excellently and thus he cannot be sacked of his position.

He came into office in the year 2017 under a stringent IMF programme inherited from the previous administration.

This same man was able to manage the affairs of our economy in such a way that in the first four years of NPP administration ,the country was the fastest growing economics in the world.

Although the country is facing economic challenges due to Russia-Ukraine war and the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic the nation should not blame the Finance Minister. He did not inflicted these hardships on Ghana.

This is rather the right time for the MP’s, Financial Experts and Ghanaians to help the Finance Minister to find solutions to the economic hardship so it is prudent for the MP’s and Ghanaians to throw their weights behind the government’s decision on IMF negotiation instead of treating the Finance Minister badly.
