According to Reverend Victor Kusi Boateng, the Executive Secretary of the Board of Trustees for the National Cathedral, an amount of $250 million is needed to complete the Cathedral. Reverend Boateng believes that the investment in completing the National Cathedral is worthwhile due to the long-term advantages it will bring to the nation. He highlights both the material and spiritual benefits and encourages the people to come together in gratitude for Ghana’s blessings.

“If we could raise an amount of $200 million to $250 million, the National Cathedral will be completed. Let’s look at the advantages the Cathedral will bring to Ghana and its financial benefits as a nation. God has blessed us, we need to come together and thank Him.” he said.

Reverend Boateng mentioned that the National Cathedral in Ghana should serve as a focal point of cultural legacy, just like the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC. Despite having a lower budget of about $300 million, the Ghanaian project aims to be larger and incorporate more advanced technology than the Blacksonian.

“All costs together our Cathedral, Biblical Museum, Biblical Gardens is just around $300 million, and ours is bigger than the American Bible Museum that costs $600 million. If you look in-depth into the data, you realize that although $300 million is money but compared to the $600 million we’ve done well.” he added.
