Taylor Swift had a surprise guest at her Eras Tour concert in Madrid, Spain, sparking fan theories about the mysterious attendee.

In a video taken by a private TikTok user that later went viral on social media, a mysterious, shadowy figure was seen standing alone on the rafters while she performed for the audience of 65,000 people. (It is unknown which show the figure was seen at; Swift, 34, had two shows in Madrid on May 29 and May 30.)
The unknown figure looked like a human silhouette, but it’s a mystery how they ended up on the platform above the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium’s upper seats. Some social media users speculated it could be a phantom, ghost, or a daring stadium climber. Another playful theory was that it might be Joe Alwyn hiding in the rafters. (Alwyn, 33, and Swift were in a relationship from 2016 to 2023.)
In a video shared on the official Real Madrid YouTube channel last year, its almost 14 million subscribers were given a sneak peek at the skywalk undergoing renovations. (The stadium serves as the home of the professional soccer club.)
