Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving, 32, has experienced a late career resurgence, leading his team to the NBA Finals.
Despite his success, critics are quick to remind everyone of his controversial past. Irving and the Mavericks are set to face the Boston Celtics, his former team, in the Finals. The 13-year NBA veteran is averaging 22.8 points per game as the Mavericks aim to secure their first NBA Championship in 13 years.

Irving’s skills on the court have been captivating, but his off-court controversies continue to shadow him. Back in February 2017, Irving made headlines when he expressed his belief in the flat Earth theory during an interview on the “Road Trippin’ With RJ and Channing” podcast.
“The Earth is flat,” Irving said. When asked to expand, he said, “I’m telling you, it’s right in front of our faces. They lie to us.”
