TRADERS AT RACECOURSE PETITIONS ASANTEHEMAA OVER NEGLIGENCE – DKMNEWS.NET

Traders at Racecourse in the Kumasi Metropolis on this morning petitioned the Asantehemaa, Nana Afia Konadu II, over lack of social amenities like road networks, toilet facility, security in the market which is affecting their businesses.

According to them, the mayor of Kumasi Metropolitan assembly, Hon Samuel Pyne upon his discussion with the media has said that, the assembly is not interested to invest into any developmental projects in the market since the place is temporary for such businesses.

Thousands of aggrieved traders stormed Manhyia palace this morning with singing of “No development” No ticketing” means that, until they witness massive development in the market, they seized to pay taxes to Kumasi Metropolitan assembly.

Hon Samuel Pyne failed to appears before Asantehemaa in person but asked his representative from the assembly to represented him but the Asantehemaa reschedule the meeting to next week Thursday to enable Hon Samuel Pyne to answer some questions himself.

The Aggrieved traders spoke to Newsmen on their grievances.
