W/R : WITHIN 9 MONTHS, 68 LIVES PERISHED IN ROAD ACCIDENTS.

Provisional statistics from the National Road Safety Authority NRSA indicates a total of 68 person’s have passed out from road accident within 9 months from January to September in 2022, in the Western North Region.

Mr Victor Kojo Bilson, Regional Head of National Road Safety Authority NRSA, revealed this to DKMNEWS.NET.

He explained that, from January to September, Western North alone, has recorded a total deaths of 68 people on road accident.

He 26 people died through commercial vehicles, 6 died from private vehicles while 36 death was recorded through motor bikes, tricycle, and motor cycle.

Mr Victor however stated 297 person’s were injured while for the first three months in this year, total of 55 males died as against 13 females within the region.

According to him, with regards to stay Alive Campaign, all and sundry should accept road safety as a shared responsibility, do what is responsible, desist from excessive intake of alcohol when driving, inhaling of snuff.

He appealed to pedestrians to always trend cautious when walking on road side and traders should stop selling their goods on roadside.
