The Tano South Constituency Chairman for the NDC in the Ahafo Region, Mr. Sulley Malik has boldly attributed the defeat of the party’s 2016 elections to the NPP to poor communication by the party communicators.

He noted that the party under the watch of Former president John Mahama did incredibly well in terms of development by bringing into existence a series of infrastructural development under the education, health, Agric, and roads sectors, and some other important sectors which contributed a lot to the country’s development thereby alleviating economic hardship and social vices.

Speaking to DKMNEWS.NET, Mr. Sulley Mallik expressed that the party taught their numerous developmental projects will convey the message to the electorates hence there was no need for intensive communications on physical projects but the falsehoods and propaganda of the NPP overshadowed their hard work and subsequently cost them their victory in the 2016 general elections.

He admitted that the communicators weren’t solid enough to convey the good works of the NDC from 2012 to 2016 led by former president John Dramani Mahama to the populace hence the defeat of the party to the NPP.

Mr. Sulley Mallik added that the former Member of Parliament for the Tano South constituency Hon Dr. Louisa Hannah Bissue who served from 2013 to 2017 on the ticket of NDC under the leadership of Former president John Mahama was the only member of parliament who made the entire Tano South constituency benefited from the national cake in ensuring the construction of developmental projects in the municipality.

He explained that the former Member of Parliament who was only given one term in office as an MP did extremely well in tackling the infrastructural deficit in almost all sectors of development indicating that every single community within the Tano south constituency benefited from NDC under the stewardship of Hon. Dr. Hanna Bissue as a result of her dedication and hard work to his people.

He finally condemned all war-mongering ahead of the 2024 elections by both NPP and NDC.

He noted that violence doesn’t win elections hence there is the need to maintain peace and order as we approach 2024 general elections stressing that the parties must be vigilant at the various polling centres because elections are always won at the polling centres and not base on violence and wars.
