The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will hold its presidential and parliamentary primaries on Saturday, May 13, 2023 to elect their Parliamentary candidates and flag bearer for the party to contest the 2024 general election.

This was announced by the Communications Officer of NDC, Sammy Gyamfi in a press conference at the party’s headquarters in Accra.

According to Sammy Gyamfi, filling of nominations will take place between Wednesday, February 22 to Friday, February 24.

He added that, the submission and filing of forms would also take place from Monday, March 20, 2023, to Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

He confirmed that, a filing fee of GH¢500,000 has been proposed with a nomination fee of GH¢30,000 for the presidential aspirants.

Prior to this some concern Youth Activists of the Bawku Central Constituency has mass up to file for the Member of Parliament, Hon. Mahama Ayariga to go unopposed.

The Concern Youth within the Bawku Central Municipality thinks their Member of Parliament has done a lot for the constituency, so there’s no need for anyone to compete him.

In an interview with the Youth Activists of the Bawku Central Constituency by DKMNEWS.NET, they pledged to contribute by paying the filling fees of Hon. Mahama Ayariga if he will not be allowed to go unopposed.

“By hook or crook we will by all means pay his filing fees for him to go unopposed , because he has some uniqueness in him that will aid the Bawku Central Constituency ” some concern youth stated.

“Since he was elected as MP of the Constituency, there has been mass development within the the Constituency and also he has time for his constituents and all the youth within, so we the Concern Youth within Bawku Central wants pay him back his good works by paying for his filling fees for him to go unopposed ” Concern Youth Bawku Central.
